HAve you ever had a disase that rendered you incapable of doing anything effectively? Have you ever had a bug that won't leave? Have you ever had something stuck inside your head? This is me.

My name is HAns. I'm fourteen. I live on my own as pokemon humans ans even pokemorphs all have labeled me as an anomaly. My diet for the last two years has been Water Absorb and hatred.

{Doctor Reinford is looking at you.}

I turn around. The doctor is in fact looking at me, expecting me to go into a memory-reading machine he had pointed out ot me earlier. I happily agree after a long thought.

"Okay, Hans, first question. When did your... Problem, first happen?" I was about to reply. but I notice a screen popping up on the wall showing what I was thinking about.
------
I was twelve years old. I had read an article about the pokemorph disease and that if you get attacked by a pokemon you would gain its features, and be contained for fear of it spreading.

I was walking down the street on my way home. I noticed an eevee following me so I ran away from it, in fear it was infected.

The next morning, as I was walking to school, I heard a song. It was a beautiful song, soothing even. I turned on my music player to drown out the music, in case it was an attack. After a while, a mob of around a dozen ditto started following me, changing into extremely fast pokemon and surrounding me. I was trapped!

No one was around to call out to. It was still to early. No one would confront a mod of twelve enraged ditto anyway.

Luckily, I had brought with me some sweet smelling herbs for this kind of situation. I took a couple out and starting spreading the spores onto the ditto. They  didn't look to happy about the distraction attempt.

SUddently they were all hanging off of me. Six of them ad changed to various cat-like pokemon, and were gnawing at my limbs. I couldn't take the black one off my head, as I ha four others hanging off of me aswell. This was pretty stressful.
------
I wake up with a jolt. How could I have a nightmare during a medical test? This didn't make much sense. I fall back asleep.
------
I managed to shake off the four cat-like ditto pokemon. It wasn't easy. They really had powerful chompers. When I finally got to school, I could already see waves of fur spreading onto my arms and legs.
------
The doctor is now looking at me questioningly. "...I don't see anything wrong about you now, however." He shakes his head and looks down at me, still lying in the soft bed. "Then again, I don't see a single patch of skin under all those clothes."

Finally! He gets to the situation. For a doctor, Rainford isn't very observant.

{I agree entirely.}

To think he'd notice my bulky hood, dark coloured mittens, winter boots and very baggy pants?

Reinford looks at me questioningly. "Take off your hood."

This somehow made me a little on edge. "Why? What are you suspecting?" That was a mistake. I've strated growling at him. Cover blown... Damn it.

I slowly pull back my hood and my eyes dart for the nearest mirror. My head is completely covered in black fur. My mouth and nose had muzzled ou at some point. My ears are actin in their usual yellow-ringed-upward-pointing way. I wasn't surprised to see the rings. I was in a human facility, after all.

Reinford nods, writs something in his clipboard, and looks at me again.

"Let's see how far this has spread. I need you to take off your gloves and boots, to get a general idea of your affliction. Different remedies for different causes, you understand."

I take off my gloves first. My hand are also covered in fur. My left one is of a bright yellow colour, while my right is of a vibrant red.

Reinford is very confused, it seems. He probably wasn't expecting this.

I slip off my boots. One foot is dark blue and the other is olive green. Instead of feet they're full-out paws. Claws and all.

I can feel my ears perk up. They were still feet only a few months ago.

I look up. Reinford is a little flushed. After a while, he says: "I need you to go to a laboratory near Route 1. Here's a map to the place." Iput on my clothes, make sure my fur isn't visible, and head off to the lab.

I'm at the route 1 surfing point. I have to keep hidden, as here are pokemon and pokemorphs around. I can smell them. I slowly move toward the nearest cliff overlooking the river. Then I let ditto take over my body while I think about that pokemorphs would do so close to an area inhabited by humans.

Sittign in the back of my mind, I notice myself turning into a Gyarados (surfing while scaring away threat, most likely) as ditto sets off for the lab.

Do you know where we're going? I ask, not sure if h's been there before. I can see water splashing against our scales, but I can't feel it at all.

{Yes, I do. Look around, there are pokemorphs heading there as well. We'll pass them soon, maybe we could gather information about them for later.}

As we pass the pokemorphs, I take a quick glance. One of them is a female umbreon morph, black fur and yellow rings, and the other looks like.. Err.. A scizor, maybe. Not to sure. Anyway, he has red pincirs and thin wings. I can still see some human features. Odd, every other pokemorph I've seen so far were completely coloured. In his case, it's only the hands and wings that have taken up the features.

We've finally arrived at the lab. My mind fels a little foggy, and I can't hear ditto at all...

I'm running through the strets. A large, black figure is following me. I take a left. It's a dead end. I turn around. The dark figure is getting closer. He melts into my body.

I wake up gasping. I know it was just a dream, I've had it for a while now. I'm back to normal physically (the new normal, anyway). I try to stand up. I'm strapped to a bed. I look around. I'm in that loks like to be a glass box. I can't move my head, but i can see the cieling move. Why am I on a moving platform?

I can hear some people walking accompanied by the hum of machinery.

"His scanning had been perfect, sir," a voice said, "The Dream Mist works wonders. Nobody's coming here without bad dreams."

"Right." Said a deep voice. II've never liked deep voices. They scare me.

I rolled my eyes as far left as possible to catch a glimpse of an escape somehow. All I could see was a large metal box ahead of me, where the conveyer was going.
------
I walk out of the box, glad to be on my feet. I'm in front of some sort of booth selling -- no, giving away -- pokemon hold items. They have one for every type. As they're damage boosters, I'm not very interested.

"Aren't you going to take one?" The clerk asks. She looks confused. "All pokemorphs need a damage booster. Even umbreons such as yourself." She hands me a dread plate. I could tell she was trying to be nice, but her look send me a chilling message. I have to get out of here.

I frantically look around for the exit. I run through a door to my right. Then I stop. There's a weird smell in the air. It's pretty cold too. i put on my hood.

There are purple lights. Millions of them, barely visible. They're crawling Into my skin!

{We need to darken your fur, you understand, so that the guards know you belong to our lab.}

That sounds a lot like ditto. I'm sure he's never say anything remotely close to that... Wait, who's they?
